Sharp condition of global existence for nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a harmonic potential
Abstract
For the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a harmonic potential which describes Bose–Einstein condensates, a sharp sufficient condition for global existence is obtained. This condition is in terms of an exact stationary solution (nonlinear ground state).
