Title
Qos Routing In Data Networking Using Genetic Algorithms: A New Two-Level Approach
Abstract
QoS-Routing represents an important and complex process in Telecommunications networking. QoS-Routing decisions should be based on multiple metrics in order to find paths satisfying application's QoS requirements while optimising the total usage of network resources in order to improve the global network throughput. in this paper, an optimal and adaptive QoS-Routing algorithm that is scalable and efficient to large networks is presented. Based on Genetic Algorithms, it uses a two-levels optimisation process in order to compute optimal paths that satisfy QoS requirements represented by a multi-criteria function. Thanks to a distributed path computation, the knowledge of the global network topology is not required, optimising the network resources.
