Mobile learning (m-learning) refers to the use of mobile and handheld IT devices in teaching and learning and it may currently be most useful as a support to cultural heritage learning by exploiting portable devices like smartphones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), e-books, tablet PCs and laptop computers. M-learning could bring important benefits to schools, assisting in education, supporting classroom teaching and enabling personal and group learning. This paper presents MX-Learn that extends X-Learn, a state-of-the-art XML-based, multi-agent system for supporting "user-device" adaptive elearning, with the aim of improving cultural heritage learning methods by the development of flexible and personalized scenario through innovative multimedia services. |
