Title
Signal Separation for Non-invasive Monitoring of Foetal Heartbeat
Abstract
A blind source separation algorithm is successfully applied to extract foetal heartbeat from a set of acoustic data collected from pregnant women. Several different variations of Independent Component Analysis (ICA) algorithms are applied and tested with actual data and it has been observed that ICA based on maximization of cummulants has successfully separated the foetal as well as the mother’s heart beat.
