Abstract | ||

This work presents a new method to efficiently communicate the correlated visual and depth information captured by multiple mobile RGB-D camera sensors. Our proposed scheme adopting the special properties of the depth map can extract the uncorrelated information between two images without conducting computationally heavy motion estimation. Moreover, a novel entropy coding scheme is proposed to further compress the depth data. |
