Title
Directional Wi-Fi Based Indoor Location System for Emergency
Abstract
In emergency, especially for indoor case, an easy-to-setup and real-time locating system is very important for timely rescue. However, most traditional systems cannot work for different reasons: GPS is not available for indoor case, some need huge amounts of preliminary work to acquire training data and some require specialized equipments which brings high cost. In this paper, we propose an easy-to-use indoor location system for emergency with low cost. Only two directional access points (APs) are needed to be setup around the building and training data just from several reference points are required. In comparison, our system is easy to install and avoid large scale data collection work. Experiment results show that the system can locate mobile devices in real time and accuracy is acceptable in room-level.
