Title
Using collective intelligence for opinion analysis and tendency determination
Abstract
Explosively-growing information provides people various and feasible solutions in decision making. According to the collective intelligence (CI) theory, as individuals in a community can express their opinions independently and all of the opinions are integrated by an appropriate scheme to result in tendency, such tendency would be more “intelligent” than the opinion of the most intelligent expert in the community. The three stages include “analysis of opinions contents”, “representation of formatted opinion contents”, and “analysis of opinions tendency and representation of conclusions”. Based on the proposed methodology, a collective intelligence for opinion analysis and tendency determination system is developed, and a real-world case is used to evaluate the feasibility and performance of the proposed methodology. Therefore, this research attempts to develop a system that can help decision makers to acquire a valuable reference and to make the best decision for evaluating real decision cases in the decision making process.
