Title
DEA-like models for multi-component performance measurement
Abstract
In this paper, we consider the problem of evaluating the efficiency of a set of interdependent Decision Making Sub-units (DMSU) that make up a larger Decision Making Unit (DMU). The DMUs are interdependent in the sense that the output produced by each DMSU is used as a part of inputs by the other one. The method can be applied to situations when the DMU involved performs different and clearly identifiable components and output in one component is used as a part of inputs to the later component. The linearity of DEA is preserved through our proposal.
