The MPEG-4 Streaming Player Using Adaptive Decoding Time Stamp Synchronization
Abstract
This paper introduces the MPEG-4 streaming playeroffering the streaming service of the MPEG-4 visualstandard by applying the adaptive Decoding Time Stamp(DTS) synchronization. The player uses the generaldevelopment interfaces; it is also interoperable in differentsystems because it streams the international standard,MPEG-4 visual. Likewise, it minimizes the dependence ofthe system's resources as it utilizes the adaptivesynchronization mechanism. We propose the newsynchronization method that it guarantees the Quality ofService (QoS) of the user interface by synchronizing thecontrol of the decoding level without using the PresentationTime Stamp (PTS). This method obtains the best efficiencyin the client system even with the resource's restriction likea mobile device or a home appliance.
