A survey on faulty line selection technology for single-phase-to-ground fault in China |
Abstract | ||

Single-phase-to-ground fault is difficult to detect with traditional methods in NIEPS because of minor fault current, fault arc, harmonics influence and the protection principle limitation. In order to improve the precision and reliability of traditional faulty line selection technologies for NIEPS, more attention has been paid by many researchers over the past decade to address various challenges in China. This paper discusses practical solution to be applied in NIEPS. Then, the feasible improvement of these technologies and the up-to-date research achievements in this field are summarized. Finally, the simulation of EMTP and analysis of MATLAB proved that the schemes can distinguish faulty feeder from healthy feeder correctly with higher sensitiveness. |
