•Degradation of digital chaos is discussed from a new view of chaotification.•A chaotification scheme is proposed based on hybrid structure.•The existence of chaotic motion in controlled digital system is proofed rigorously.•Hybrid control can restore and even make the properties better than original ones.•Performance comparisons with existing remedies show the validity of our method. |
