Title
Coastal line feature extraction method for optic remote sensing images: A threshold-based morphological approach
Abstract
Coastal line is a simple but important type of feature in remote sensed images. There have been many valid approaches used to automatically identify this feature, of which the accuracy and speed is the most important. This paper proposes a threshold-based morphological approach for extraction of coastal line feature in remote sensing images, and the key step is to process the isolated regions. At last, an experiment and result validate the proposed method to be an extractive approach for its accurately determining the coastal line in a large size remote sensed image.
