Abstract | ||

This study presents the research result on estimating winter wheat yield in North China Plain, by assimilating multi-temporal Landsat TM images into the GIS-based EPIC model (Erosion Productivity Impact Calcalator, recently renamed Environmental Policy Integrated Climate). The results indicate that the assimilation of LAI maps retrieved from remotely sensed data has improved the yield simulation accuracy of GIS-based crop growth model at the regional scale significantly. |
