In narrowband system, signaling compression (SigComp) technology have positive effect on saving wireless bandwidth resource, However, compression will increase the possibility of signaling message error, which will lead to higher probability of messages retransmission and in the end, occupy more wireless bandwidth and course more call setup delay. Based on the simulation of CDMA-95 reverse link channel, it is approved that bit error deadly restrains the benefit owing to SigComp scheme. According to the high redundancy attribute of the SigComp dictionary mechanism, an improved scheme comes out which adds BCH self-correct coding and grouping interweave algorithm to generation of SigComp dictionary code. At the end of this paper, the result of simulation of CDMA-95 reverse link channel shows that, the improved SigComp scheme sharply decreases the occupation coefficient of bandwidth and call setup delay in narrowband system. |
