•This paper addresses an extension of Block Job shop Scheduling problem taking AGV.•Two integer non-linear programming (INLP) models are proposed.•A two-stage heuristic combining improved timetabling and local search is developed.•Four principles are proposed to guarantee the feasibility of the search.•A set of benchmark tests is conducted to testify the effectiveness of the method. |
