Abstract
•Performance evaluation of combined cycle power plants is a complex problem.•This complexity is due to undesirable output production and interval data presence.•We propose a data envelopment analysis method to handle the return to scale problem.•We determine the interval efficiency scores and offer benchmarks for enhancing them.
