Title
Soft Keyboard UX Evaluation: An Eye Tracking Study
Abstract
Touch screen devices are used daily in a variety of tasks, such as sending emails and typing notes. These devices usually come equipped with soft keyboards where their design needs to strike a careful balance to meet user needs. In this empirical study, we employed eye tracking techniques on four variants of soft keyboards to explore Users Experience (UX) while using different soft keyboard layouts, and discuss possible reasons for this differences and design implications for better typing performance.
