Title
An enhanced movement-based location management scheme in wireless communication networks
Abstract
Location management consists of location update (LU) and paging, and it is essential to support mobility of mobile users in wireless communication networks [1]. In LU, a mobile station (MS) updates its location to inform the network of its current location area (LA) consisting of a group of cells. The information of LA is retrieved when there is an incoming call to the MS. Then, the network sends paging signals to base stations in all cells within the retrieved LA to find the exact cell of the called MS.
