Evaluation of the Drivers' Distraction Caused by Dashboard MMI Interface.
Abstract
The article attempts to the aspect of driver distraction caused by the embedded the MMI interface. At the beginning the concept of drivers' distraction and related works were submitted. Next were presented same of nowadays dashboards examples. Emphasized that even in a class of small passenger cars MMI interface are standard. In the following part was presented a method for evaluating the impact of the built-in LCD panel on the driver's distraction. The method is static and is based on the measurement of the luminance level of the background environment and MMI. The results and their evaluation is a summary of the work.
