Title
Applying FFR to Inter-Cell Interference Cancellation with Quasi-Decentralized Base Station Cooperation
Abstract
This paper proposes to apply fractional frequency reuse (FFR) to our inter-cell interference (ICI) cancellation method in order to further improve spectral efficiency on large-scale base station cooperation. The proposed method realizes quasi-decentralized cooperation and can significantly reduce preprocessing complexity. System level simulations are conducted under practical conditions of estimation error on channel state information (CSI). The results clarify that the proposed method can achieve higher spectral efficiency than cooperative MU-MIMO, 11% on average value and 185% higher at the CDF=5%, even in imperfect CSI conditions.
