Cone-Beam Computer Tomography (CBCT) is a technique for capturing images of the maxillofacial region that provides tissue views with low radiation doses. Dental implant planning and management of endodontic problems are some of its main applications. In this work, we propose an automatic methodology to analyze the volumetric CBCT data in order to segment bone tissues in the mandible. The final goal is the development of a methodology for the automatic analysis of the bone features in CBCT modality. |
