In this paper, we have proposed a Priority Based Pixel Domain Wyner-Ziv (PB-PDWZ) coding using the temporal correlation of the key frames. The proposed scheme classifies and prioritizes the Wyner-Ziv (WZ) frame information without applying any transform (e.g. Discrete Wavelet Transform and Discrete Cosine Transform etc) and yields attractive rate distortion performance with approximately no compromise in peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) quality. At the same time it improves the rate distortion performance of the codec without adding any complexity due to no use of transforms. It have been observed that the gain of priority based system is more in low motion content video sequences with respect to high motion content video sequences. |
