Title
A statistical model for the simulation of time-varying multipath mobile radio propagation channel
Abstract
We propose a new model for the mobile radio channel which takes into account the channel non-stationarity. It is a statistical model whose parameters are derived from real impulse responses. It is based on modelling the variations of an existing stationary model when moving through small areas within which stationarity can be assumed. The stationary model used was developed in earlier work and consists of the power delay profile of the measured impulse responses. The variations of the power delay profiles are shown to be log-normally distributed. The proposed model is then fully specified by the mean and variance of the log of the power delay profiles
