Title
Measurements of pressure and sinking depth for mattress selection [spinal cord injured patients]
Abstract
Many kinds of pressure-relieving cushions and mattresses have been developed to prevent pressure sores for patients with spinal cord injuries (SCIs). An important problem for medical staff and SCI patient is to select a suitable mattress for each SCI patient. In this study, we measured the buttock pressure distribution of three types of mattresses and measured the sinking depth of the hand into the mattress to select the suitable mattress for each SCI patient.
