Title
Living with dynamic concepts in dynamic environments: intelligent agents that adapt themselves
Abstract
In this paper a dynamic perspective on concepts for intelligentagents is propagated. The discussion on the nature of concepts canbe simplified to a dichotomy between objective/static andsubjective/dynamic approaches. In the objective case, concepts arethe same for all individuals. Under a dynamic perspective, conceptsdepend on different factors like the learning process, theenvironment, i.e. the situational setting. It is indispensable foran agent to create individual concepts that adhere to restrictionsimposed by the environment and the society it is living in. It isshown that changes in the environment lead to changes in existingconcepts and to establishing new ones with only a small irritationin the use of the old ones.
