Title
Analysis of fast fading in multipath propagation by forward-only counterpropagation network
Abstract
An application of the forward-only counterpropagation network (FCPN) is proposed for analyzing fast fading in multipath propagation. The received signal envelope and RF phase in a multipath propagation channel are random variables and the FCPN can approximately find their probability density function. The advantage is a significant reduction in computational burden as well as providing a direct path to parallel implementation. Simulation results for temporal fast fading are given to demonstrate this method. As preprocessing, the analytical results can be directly used to train a feedforward network in modelling multipath propagation
