Abstract | ||

This paper presents a new handover decision algorithm for cellular and microcellular systems. It is based on computing the probability of handover from the received signal strengths. This probability of handover is maximum at the cell boundary where the handover is supposed to take place. The proposed algorithm consists then in tracking the global maximum of the probability of handover as a function of the distance. |
