A robot architecture is proposed that integrates in a simple and principled way artificial vision, artificial emotions and symbolic knowledge representation by means of a rich and expressive conceptual representation where affective computing takes place. The role of artificial emotions is to handle the expectation and confirmation mechanism at the basis of the evolution of the architecture. Experimental results are related to an experimental setup in which an anthropomorphic robotic hand system interacts with a human opponent |
