A technique for significantly reducing the time of alternating to direct current (ac-dc) transfer measurements is proposed in which a thermal converter is synchronously switched with the ac input signal. The technique facilitates the use of thermal converters in routine AC-DC transfer calibrations making them less time consuming and more attractive in calibration laboratories. A fast AC-DC transfer measurement system using this technique and a synchronous sampling system will be presented. |
