Linking between image sequences and related digital maps
Abstract
In order to utilize image sequences and their related digital map, the linking between them is indispensable. This paper proposes a method for linking between image sequences and their related digital map using DP (Dynamic Programming) matching algorithm. In this method, at first several numbers of patterns-such as the vertical boundary pattern, the height pattern, and the street intersection pattern-are extracted from the video, as well as from the digital city map. The linking is realized by matching these video patterns with the corresponding patterns of the digital city map using an end-opened DP matching technique. In order to show the effectiveness of this proposed method, experimental results are also presented
