Title
Coefficient quantization in nearly perfect-reconstruction cosine-modulated filter banks
Abstract
This paper presents one possible implementation structure for nearly perfect-reconstruction (NPR) cosine-modulated filter banks (CMFBs). The effect of straightforward coefficient quantization on the performance of the filter bank systems is studied. In multicarrier systems, these filter banks can be used in the transmultiplexer (TMUX) configuration. The performance is evaluated by using parameters like intercarrier interference (ICI), intersymbol interference (ISI), and stopband attenuation.
