Reliability of syringe infusion pump data channel
Abstract
There is presented patient risk management aspects using syringe infusion pump (SIP) infusion management system. System hardware and software influence to patient risk is estimated. There are presented experiment results of IrDA channel reliability. Reliability assurance using CRC, data string inversion and data transfer repeat aspects were investigated. Various external infrared noise sources and influence to data transfer reliability were analyzed.
