Title
Optimization of random selection and forwarding for multiple-relay networks
Abstract
This paper enhances earlier work on random selection and forwarding, which is a probabilistic forwarding protocol for wireless relay networks. We have extended the system model to account for more realistic scenarios and we have applied the framework to the conventional first-in first-out forwarding technique, which we use as a reference for comparison. Most importantly, we have analyzed the asymptotic behavior of the packet erasure probability and we have derived expressions which shed more light on the interplay between the various network parameters and their impact on the packet erasure probability.
