In this paper, we propose an interchannel interference (ICI) cancellation scheme for interleaved orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) uplink systems. In interleaved OFDMA, frequency offsets cause multiuser interference (MUI) as well as self-ICI, which result in severe performance degradation of the receiver. In the proposed method, after compensating a frequency offset in time domain, we eliminate the interference in frequency domain by using parallel interference cancellation (PIC). To reduce the computational complexity of the PIC, we only consider the interfering subcarriers at both sides near to the desired subcarrier. Simulation results show that the proposed method is very effective for interleaved OFDMA schemes and only five adjacent subcarriers are sufficient for ICI cancellation1. |
