Title
A clock management system for multi-phase DC-DC Converters in 0.35µm CMOS Technology
Abstract
In this paper a clock management system for clocking multi-phase dc-dc converters is presented. Integrated/hybrid converters offer an opportunity to integrate a substantial part of the converter functionality on a single die. The fundamental one, the clock distribution system, could be therefore easily integrated in a standard (or even in a high-voltage) CMOS process alongside other functional blocks and power switches to provide time-shifted clock signals necessary in clocking multi-phase converters. The work describes a mixed signal implementation which fulfils the requirements of a specific application. The design is done in a high-voltage 0.35μm triple-well CMOS process and verified by measurement results.
