Title
An energy-aware and error-resilient routing protocol for content delivery in mobile ad hoc networks
Abstract
A mobile ad-hoc network includes a collection of mobile nodes where each node is self organizing, infrastructureless and resource constrained. Due to the dynamic topology and resource shortage of MANETs and the limited energy of mobile nodes, the communication route among nodes may fail frequently. We propose here a new routing protocol that constructs a stable and shortest hop route containing nodes with the minimum level of remaining energy to increase the operational lifetime of MANETs. It also introduces a recovery scheme that reduces the network control overhead dramatically to increase the reliability of the network. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol outperforms the state-of-the-art protocols.
