Title
Optimal meter commitment solutions to CDM energy effciency lighting projects
Abstract
In this paper, a metering cost minimisation model is proposed to find out the optimal solutions to the meter commitment problem for the CDM energy efficiency lighting projects. Under the typical CDM sampling accuracy requirement, known as 90/10 criterion, the optimal confidence and precision levels for each lighting group have been characterised. The dynamics of the lighting population decay are also incorporated in the proposed model. The optimal solutions to the model minimise the metering cost whilst satisfying the 90/10 criterion, and this is verified by a case study. The metering cost minimisation model proposed for lighting systems is applicable to other CDM projects as well.
