Title
Speech enhancement through binaural negative filtering
Abstract
Through the present paper the use of Negative Beamforming for Speech Enhancement is explored. This method may be used to eliminate or enhance a specific signal using a binaural array, and its extension to three-microphone arrays is also shown. The fundamentals of the technique are reviewed, and a structure to control and improve its angular selectivity is presented. Results obtained in a real situation are also commented. Applications of this technique may be found in improving Noise Robust Speech Recognition Methods for Security Systems or Domotic Control.
