Abstract | ||

In this paper we propose a bridging algorithm for cognitive personal area networks (CPAN). The bridge node transfers inter-CPAN traffic between CPANs, and is given higher priority over local traffic since the bridge alternates between the two CPANs. We evaluate the performance of this algorithm, in particular the impact of bridge transmission on data transmissions in the destination CPAN. Our results indicate useful bounds on traffic intensity per node and amount of inter-CPAN traffic, which can be useful for CPAN design and dimensioning. |
