Title
Application of Adaptive Unsharp Masking technique to color images with optimum parameters selection
Abstract
Image processing has been the focal point of considerable research activity in the last decade mainly because of its wide application areas. With the help of existing image enhancement technique, Adaptive Unsharp Masking (AUM), proposed optimum parameters selection procedure has significant effects in terms of sharpness and contrast adjustment in color images. The experimental results prove that AUM technique, which is applied to color images in this study, converges to a minimum mean square error as in the case of gray scale images.
