Title
Fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm and extended Kalman filter for nonlinear chemical reactors
Abstract
In this paper a robust fuzzy sliding mode controller for concentration control of a certain continuous stirred tank reactor in the presence of measurements noise is proposed. An extended Kalman filter is used to estimate the concentrations in the reactor, which is frequently not available. This nonlinear controller can eliminate the chattering problem that emerges in the conventional sliding mode control. Since the fuzzy rules are adjusted base on Lyapunov like equation, the stability of the system is guaranteed.
