Title
Identification-Based Power Station Models For Purposes Of Robust Control Design
Abstract
The paper presents a new procedure for identification of nominal model, uncertainty models as well as frequency envelopes, which form a basis for robust control design. The proposed procedure is based on the known two-stage identification method, the first stage of which is frequency response identification and the second one is transfer function calculation using obtained frequency response. Furthermore, uncertainties in the values of the transfer function coefficients are taken into account, resulting in a family of frequency responses. The upper and lower envelopes of this family are calculated, using a recently developed method. The paper is illustrated by successful industrial applications at the IEC (Israel Electric Corporation).
