Title
Performance Of A Coded Slow Frequency Hopping M-Ary Fsk With Clamped Average Energy Metric In Overlay System
Abstract
The performance of a clamped average energy metric with a slow frequency hopping non-coherent M-ary FSK is studied. The channel is considered as an AWGN-channel with narrowband users of another system occupying part of the frequency hopping slots. Hence the frequency hopping system is an overlay system. The coding scheme chosen is the optimal binary convolutional (7,1/3) -code. The clamped average energy metric gives good performance in an overlay system and clearly outperforms hard decision decoding with traditional MFSK-detection.
