This paper proposes Radio Modulation Controlled Level VPC in ATM networks. This technique combines modulation level controlled radio (MLCR) and virtual path capacity control (VPC) method. The traffic fluctuation can be absorbed flexbly when applying the MLCR system to the radio channel of ATM networks which consist of wired and radio channels. We theoretically analyze the performance of call blocking probability, and consider the simplicity of network design for different values of the ratio of radio links to all links. |
