Title
Development Of An Airborne Imaging Long- And Midwave Infrared Fourier Transform Spectrometer
Abstract
Over the last few years the DSTO has been utilizing a ground based Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer for a number of applications. With the recent advances in a number of related technology areas there is now sufficient potential to progress from a ground based non-imaging system to an airborne imaging spectrometer. The main aim of this activity is to increase our understanding of the issues related to the design, construction, testing, calibration and efficient use of an airborne Imaging Fourier Transform Spectrometer (IFTIRS). This paper describes the initial phases of our IFTIRS development.
