Abstract | ||

In this paper we propose a prototype of visible light communications system for outdoor applications. Its structure and the principle of design is described in details. Experiments show it works well at a distance of 5.7Km at a data rate of 9.6Kbps. Finally, we compare high brightness LED with laser diode, which suggests high brightness LED based FSO system is suitable for use in specific applications. |
