•A normalized methodology was provided to model patient-centered clinical processes.•Clinician’s workload was redistributed to improve the efficiency of DR screening.•A model includes archetypes, termsets, templates, CDS rules, pathways and UI views.•6 stages, 8 GDL rules, 19 templates, 12 termsets and 32 archetypes were used.•The resulting resources were uploaded to open access repositories to be reused. |
