Title
A categorical analysis of coreference resolution errors in biomedical texts.
Abstract
•Performance of existing coreference resolution systems for the biomedical domain is analysed.•A framework to categorise syntactic and semantic characteristics of coreference relations is proposed.•The framework has benefits for error analysis of performance of existing coreference resolution systems in detail.•The detailed analysis provides insights for further development of a novel coreference resolution system.
