Title
Queue length estimation from probe vehicles at isolated intersections: Estimators for primary parameters.
Abstract
•Stochastic models for queue lengths at isolated intersections are derived.•Cycle-to-cycle and steady-state behavior of primary parameter estimators are given.•Estimators use location, time, and count information from probe vehicles.•Cycle-to-cycle errors for queue length estimations are presented.•Models are evaluated using VISSIM microscopic simulations.
