In this paper a new method for the extrapolation of real-time processes is proposed. Its main point of difference with respect to other methods is the use not only of the values of extrapolated processes ('contour properties') but also of the values of their derivatives and, which is especially important, the relationships between these derivatives ('structural properties'). The basis of the method and the procedure for its use are described below and an example of extrapolating a real airplane flight trajectory (i.e. in real time) is given. This example containing also the results of comparison between the proposed method and the method based on the use of the Kalman filters, confirms the theoretical conclusions about the possibilities of improving the extrapolation quality by the method set forth. |
